January 18, 2007-- Australian Open (Main Draw) - James Blake got the better of Alex in their second round meeting at the Australian Open. Alex had a 3-0 lead in the first set and was able to get in some great rallies with James throughout the match, but eventually James displayed his experience and exceptional shot-making to pull through the match with a 6-4, 6-1, 6-2 victory. Despite losing in the second round, Alex is "very satisfied" to have made it through the quallies and to have gotten one match under his belt in the main draw. He can now take this experience and confidence with him to the next events he plays. 

January 16, 2007-- Australian Open (Main Draw) - In a match that took just under four hours, Alex overcame Aussie wildcard Peter Luczak after being down two sets to one. Alex had a total of 86 winners compared to Luczak's 34 and ended up prevailing 6-4, 5-7, 6-7(5), 6-1, 6-4. He will now face  # 5 ranked American James Blake in the next round.  

January 13, 2007-- Australian Open (Qualifying) - Alex has reached his first Australian Open Main Draw after beating Brazilian Julio Silva 6-3, 6-4 in the third round of qualifying. His first round opponent is still unknown but he will be placed into one of the remaining qualifier spots in the main draw.

January 12, 2007-- Australian Open (Qualifying) - In his second match in the qualifying event, Alex upset # 17 seed Tomas Zib, with a 6-4, 7-6(4) victory.

January 11, 2007-- Australian Open (Qualifying) - Alex had a tough first round match in the qualifying, but got past Oleksandr Dolgopolov Jr of the Ukraine, 7-6(4), 7-5.

September 30, 2006-- Oklahoma Challenger- In the semifinals Alex and Scott Oudsema lost a close match to Rajeev Ram and Bobby Reynolds, 4-6, 4-6.  

September 29, 2006-- Oklahoma Challenger- Alex and Scott Oudsema won their quarterfinal match against Arnau Brugues and Federico Soriano of Spain 6-2, 6-2.

September 27, 2006-- Oklahoma Challenger- Alex got a lucky loser entry into the main draw but lost to Phillip Simmonds 2-6, 4-6. In the first round of doubles Alex and Scott Oudsema defeated Wayne Odesnik and Todd Widom 5-7, 6-1, (10-8).

September 25, 2006-- Oklahoma Challenger (Qualifying) - Alex lost in the final round to Wesley Whitehouse in three sets, 6-3, 3-6, 1-6.

September 24, 2006-- Oklahoma Challenger (Qualifying) - In the second round Alex took out Will Gray 6-2, 6-2.

September 23, 2006-- Oklahoma Challenger (Qualifying)- As the #2 seed Alex defeated Ishay Hadash 6-3, 6-2 in the first round.

September 21, 2006-- Lubbock Challenger- Alex and Scott Oudsema lost to the top team of Chris Drake and Scott Lipsky 3-6, 2-6 in the quarterfinals.

September 19, 2006-- Lubbock Challenger- Alex lost in the first round to Glenn Weiner 4-6, 4-6. However, Alex and Scott Oudsema had an easy 6-2, 6-1 win over Joshua Goodall and Ross Hutchins in their first round doubles match.

September 16, 2006-- WOW Cafe Challenger- Cecil Mamiit and Sam Warburg were the better team in the semifinals of the challenger, pulling out a 6-3, 7-5 win over Alex and Scott Oudsema. 

September 15, 2006-- WOW Cafe Challenger- Alex and Scott Oudsema advanced to the semifinals with a 6-1, 6-3 win over wildcards Stephen Mitchell and Izak van der Merwe.

September 14, 2006-- WOW Cafe Challenger- Alex lost in his second round match to fellow American Rajeev Ram 2-6, 6-7(1). Alex and Scott Oudsema took a 6-4, 3-6, (10-7) win over Benedikt Dorsch and Nick Monroe in their first round doubles match.

September 13, 2006-- WOW Cafe Challenger- In the first round Alex took out Dieter Kindlmann in three sets, 4-6, 7-5, 6-3.

August 31, 2006-- US Open - At the US Open Alex had a tough first round opponent, # 14 seed Tommy Haas, whom he lost to 2-6, 4-6, 0-6. Alex and Scott Oudsema teamed up against Frantisek Cermak and Jaroslav Levinsky, but lost to the # 13 seeds in two very close sets, 6-7(6), 6-7(5).

 August 21, 2006-- Pilot Pen (Qualifying) - Alex tried to qualify for the Pilot Pen in New Haven this week. But, his run ended in the final round of qualifying with a 4-6, 3-6 loss to # 5 seed Jan Hajek, ranked 80th in the world. However he is still in doubles with Phillip Simmonds. They will play # 4 seeds Julian Knowle and Jurgen Melzer in the first round. 

August 19, 2006-- Pilot Pen (Qualifying) - Alex ousted # 1 seed Juan Monaco, ranked 71st in the world 6-4, 7-5 in his first qualifying match. The same day he defeated American Todd Paul 6-2, 7-6(3) to reach the final round of qualifying.

August 09, 2006-- Binghamton Challenger- Alex lost to Sam Warburg in the first round at Binghamton 4-6, 4-6. Then he partnered up with Sam for their first round doubles match. However, they lost to # 3 seeds Scott Lipsky and David Martin 6-7(5), 1-6. 

August 03, 2006-- Odlum Brown Vancouver Open- In  the second round Alex lost to # 4 seed Rik de Voest 6-7(2), 2-6. Alex and his partner Sam Warburg lost in their doubles match to Chris Drake and Alun Jones 3-6, 4-6.

August 02, 2006-- Odlum Brown Vancouver Open- Alex received a wildcard into the main draw. In the first round he defeated Jeff Williams, an American qualifier 5-7, 6-1, 6-4.

July 26, 2006-- Lexington Challenger- In the first round Alex lost to (q) Kevin Anderson 4-6, 4-6.  

July 23, 2006-- Aptos Challenger- Alex claimed his first ever Challenger title after he defeated Go Soeda 6-1, 7-6 (4) in the $75,000 challenger.

July 22, 2006-- Aptos Challenger-   Alex is in the semifinals of the Aptos Challenger where he will face Ivo Heubeurger. In the quarterfinals he defeated # 4 seed Todd Widom 4-6, 7-6(7), 6-3. 

July 21, 2006-- Aptos Challenger-  In the quarterfinals Alex beat # 4 seed Todd Widom 4-6, 7-6(7), 6-3 to get to the semis.

July 20, 2006-- Aptos Challenger- After defeating Michael McClune 6-3, 6-4 in the first round, Alex defeated Michael Yani 6-3, 6-4 in the second round.

May 14, 2006-- Forest Hills Challenger (Qualifying)- Alex had to retire in his final round qualifying match against # 2 seed Ivo Heuberger at the Forest Hills Challenger. He was forced to walk out of the match when he injured his ankle at 4-6, 4-5. 

May 13, 2006-- Forest Hills Challenger (Qualifying)- Alex won his first two rounds at the qualifying. In the first round he defeated Rahmen Smiley 6-1, 6-4 and in the second round he easily defeated #7 seed Tyler Cleveland 6-1, 6-0.

May 11, 2006-- Tunica Challenger -  Alex lost to Scott Oudsema 6-7(7), 4-6 in their quarterfinal match. They teamed up in doubles, however they lost to Hugo Armando and Ricardo Mello 2-6, 2-6.

May 10, 2006-- Tunica Challenger - Alex and Scott Oudsema will play each other for a spot in the semifinals of the Tunica Challenger. To get to the quarterfinals Alex defeated Jesse Levine 6-4, 1-6, 7-6(5). In the doubles first round, Alex and Scott defeated Todd Widom and Jesse Witten 6-1, 6-4.

May 9, 2006-- Tunica Challenger - In the first round Alex defeated Chris Wettengel 6-2, 6-4.
